The standard Doppler weather radar used across the U.S., protected inside the familiar white golf-ball dome. In technical terms: Weather Surveillance Radar, 1988, Doppler: an S-band (about 10 cm wavelength) radar with a 1° beam, 8.5 m dish, and 750 kW peak power, upgraded to dual polarization in 2011-2013; the NEXRAD network radar.
