A thunderstorm made of several cells in different stages, with new cells forming as old ones die, so the cluster lasts for hours. In technical terms: A convective storm composed of a sequence of ordinary cells, each lasting 30-60 minutes, with new updrafts forming along the gust front (often on the storm's right or forward flank in moderate shear, 10-20 m/s over 0-6 km).
