What Is Saturation?
The point where air holds as much water vapor as it can at its temperature, so any more cooling makes clouds, fog, or dew. In technical terms: The state in which water vapor is in equilibrium with a plane surface of liquid water (or ice) at the same temperature, i.e., vapor pressure equals saturation vapor pressure and relative humidity is 100%.
