What Is Simulated Reflectivity?
A weather model's guess at what the radar will look like in the future. In technical terms: Model-derived radar reflectivity (dBZ) computed from forecast hydrometeor mixing ratios using assumed particle size distributions; used with convection-allowing models to visualize storm mode and timing, though it depends on the microphysics scheme and is not an observation.
