What Is Warning?

A message that dangerous weather is happening now or about to happen. Take action immediately. In technical terms: An NWS product issued when a hazardous event is occurring, imminent, or highly likely, typically on short time scales (minutes to hours) and for polygons or counties (e.g., Tornado, Severe Thunderstorm, Flash Flood, and Winter Storm Warnings).
